Steamed Caramel Egg Custard
craved to eat steamed caramel custard... so i did cookery at home last friday night after dinner... i remember i made this dessert long long long time ago... if not mistaken was like 4 years ago?? haha.. i almost forgot the recipes for this custard... hehe.. this recipe is very easy to make.. what you need is just a few ingredients and mix them together!! here, i show u how i made this dessert~~Custard Ingredients: 1 litre of fresh milk 6 eggs condensed milk/sugar to taste 2 table spoon of vanilla essence
Caramel Ingredients: sugar (5-6 table spoon) water (6 table spoon)
first, pour milk into a pot. Boil milk for 4-5 minutes. Then, let milk to cool.
while waiting for the milk to cool, put sugar n water into a pan.
heat sugar with water in a pan till it melts and turn into golden brown.
then, pour the caramelized sugar into bowls. keep aside to let it cool.
next, beat eggs lightly
after that add condensed milk /sugar, beaten egg and vanilla essence to the cooled milk and stir again.
then, pour the mixture into bowl with caramelized sugar...
cover with alminium foil and steam the custard in water bath for about 15 minutes..
when cooked, cool the custard and then chill in refrigerator for 2-3 hours or more..
it comes out good but not perfect, cause there's bubbles at the side... however, the caramel custard is very deliciousSS... kekeke... it's velvety soft, silky smooth and rich with creamy milk flavour~ *muahhh*
